Sprawling from the Pacific to the Caribbean, its head crowned by the mists of the northern highlands while its toes dangle in the jungle-shrouded waters of the Río San Juan, Nicaragua’s geographic diversity is topped only by the range of cultures living within its borders. Beaches, jungle, volcanoes and even an island; beauty sprawls yet this is still one of the globes poorest countries with thousands of people needing access to clean water, food, education and more.
Joining either journey you'll have an amazing opportunity to contribute or even lead in helping others in need the most basic human rights and education while leaving with a warmed heart and a changed person.

NICARAGUA [Leon & Popoyo]
Mariposa Bungalows, Leon
A quaint hotel with 5 bungalows surrounding the beautiful pool central to the colonial town of Leon. Enjoy peaceful surroundings and friendly atmosphere. Mariposa is only 5 minutes from Leon and 15 min from the beach. You'll be enjoying your French or Nicaraguan breakfast on your terrace before heading out for daily volunteer and tour adventures.
Rancho Santana, Popoyo
Oceanfront and tucked between the vast Pacific and immense Lake Nicaragua, Rancho Santana has the distinction of being one of the only isthmuses on the entire Pacific Ocean. An isthmus is defined as a strip of land that is bordered on both sides by water, yet connected on each end by land. This rare geographical phenomenon gives the Ranch nearly constant breezes. These breezes are an enjoyment all their own, but also create some of the world’s most vertical waves, providing both visual drama as well as world-class surfing and compliment to the beautiful yoga platform where you'll be guided through daily yoga sessions with certified instructors.
